Terms – buying digital travel guides
This is an English translation for your information. The German version of our Terms (AGB) is legally binding.
These terms apply to purchases of our digital travel guides (PDF) on frangipanitravel.com. We have written them as plainly as we can. Where the law gives you more rights, the law always prevails.
1. Who sells
Seller and contracting party is Bling Bling GmbH, Peak Vienna, Floridsdorfer Hauptstraße 1 / 25th floor, 1210 Vienna, Austria, company register no. FN 611990k, Commercial Court of Vienna, VAT ID ATU80299348, operator of “Frangipani Travel” (frangipanitravel.com). All mandatory details are in our legal notice. For questions, use the “Ask a question” button at the end of this page.
2. What you buy
You buy a digital travel guide as a PDF download. Each purchase includes both language editions (English and German). Content, length and “as of” date are stated on the product page. No printed copy is shipped.
Our guides are based on our own trips and on information we checked as of the stated date. Prices, opening hours, timetables and entry rules change. Please check entry and health requirements with the official authorities before you travel; the guides are not legal or travel advice.
3. How the contract is made
Showing the guides on our website is not yet a binding offer. “Buy now” takes you to the payment form of our payment provider Stripe, where you can review and correct your details. By clicking the pay button you make a binding offer. The contract is concluded once your payment is confirmed and we provide the download. The contract language is German.
4. Prices and payment
All prices are final prices in euros including statutory VAT. There are no shipping costs. Payment is processed by Stripe (Stripe Payments Europe Ltd., Dublin, Ireland) using the payment methods offered in the payment form. Stripe processes your payment data; we never see your full card details. Stripe emails you the purchase confirmation and invoice.
5. Delivery and updates
Right after payment you are redirected to a download page where you can download both PDFs. Please save the files. If the download does not work, use “Ask a question” – we will send you the files.
We provide revised editions of a guide you bought free of charge via the same download link for as long as we offer the guide. In addition, the statutory obligations on updates of digital content under the Austrian Consumer Warranty Act (VGG) apply.
6. Right of withdrawal and its early expiry
As a consumer you generally have the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days without giving any reason. The period starts on the day the contract is concluded.
Early expiry for digital content: Our guides are digital content not supplied on a tangible medium. Under Section 18(1)(11) of the Austrian Distance and Off-Premises Contracts Act (FAGG), your right of withdrawal expires if we begin supplying the content before the withdrawal period ends, after
- you have expressly consented before the purchase that we begin supplying before the withdrawal period ends, and
- you have acknowledged that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal, and
- we have provided you with a confirmation on a durable medium – for us, the purchase confirmation/invoice by email and the download page.
You give this consent and acknowledgement via a mandatory checkbox in the payment form before you pay. If any of these conditions is missing, your 14-day right of withdrawal remains.
How to withdraw (if the right still exists): Send us a clear statement within the period, for example via “Ask a question” or by post to the address above. You may use the model form below, but you do not have to. We will refund the purchase price without undue delay and no later than 14 days after receiving your statement, using the same means of payment, at no cost to you.
Model withdrawal form: To Bling Bling GmbH (Frangipani Travel), Peak Vienna, Floridsdorfer Hauptstraße 1 / 25th floor, 1210 Vienna, Austria: I/We hereby give notice that I/we withdraw from my/our contract for the supply of the following digital content: … / ordered on … / name … / address … / date … / signature (only if this form is notified on paper).
7. Statutory warranty
The statutory warranty rights apply; they are not affected by the expiry of the right of withdrawal and cannot be excluded for consumers. If something in a guide is wrong or a file does not open, please tell us – we will fix it, usually with a corrected file. If that is not possible, you have the statutory rights to a price reduction or to terminate the contract.
8. Liability
We are liable in accordance with the statutory provisions. We are not liable for slight negligence; this does not apply to personal injury. Operators of external websites linked in the guide are responsible for their content. Links marked “Ad” in the guide are partner links.
9. Copyright and use
Texts, photos, maps and graphics in the guides are protected by copyright. With your purchase you receive a simple, non-transferable right to use the guide for private purposes – on your devices, printed, and together with your travel companions on the same trip. Reselling, passing it on to third parties, publishing it (including excerpts online) and commercial use are not permitted.
10. Chargebacks
Your rights towards your card issuer or payment provider, such as a chargeback, remain unaffected. Please talk to us first – most problems can be solved faster directly.
11. Data protection
How we and Stripe process your data is explained in our privacy policy.
12. Governing law and jurisdiction
Austrian law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, this choice of law applies only insofar as it does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory provisions of the country in which you have your habitual residence. Claims against consumers domiciled or habitually resident in Austria must be brought at the court of that place; otherwise the statutory places of jurisdiction apply. For businesses, the place of jurisdiction is Vienna.
13. Dispute resolution
The former EU online dispute resolution platform (ODR platform) was discontinued on 20.07.2025. In case of a dispute you can contact the Internet Ombudsman, a state-recognised dispute resolution body in Austria. We decide case by case whether to take part in a dispute resolution procedure; we always look for a direct solution with you first.
